For over a year, Riley has found so much joy stealing my phone from me and taking very "flattering" pictures of me. Recently however, her subject interest has been changing. She loves capturing her surroundings, people's funny expressions, and small details. I never paid any attention to these pictures and sadly (and habitually) deleted most of them as I upload pictures from my phone.
Not any more. This little lady actually has quite the eye for photographic beauty! My parents bought her a camera (don't worry, just a $35 digital camera for toddlers) and she has been able to capture her world.
Here are some favorites from her first few weeks as a "photographina (I couldn't come up with any other word for little photographer)."
This one cracks me up... as I was trying my best to read the manual for the camera to tell Riley how to work it, she was already using it! Kid's technological savvy scares me...
She loves taking pictures of her feet...
The two men I love most in the world. Glad she loves them too :)
Her snack cup. She chose to do black and white for this one. I asked her why, and she said, "Because it is very important Mom" with an exasperated tone
Uh-Beeka, her favorite subject of the day
Nana and Grandma!
She snuck into Nora's crib to take this one. I think that is sunlight shining in, or perhaps it is the ghost that she always says she sees!
We all appreciate this view from my parents house. In fact, it pops into my mind as my "Happy place." I didn't realize that the little one appreciates it too
Riley secretly loves battle wounds. Although she tells us that she hates boo-boos and that it hurts, I overheard her say, "I love this boo boo so much" as she took a selfie of it
